Rodney did invent the kickflip, and people did call it a magic flip at first because they didn't think it was possible for the board to rotate that way. As for the accidental trick thing, the thing that got him focused on that trick was screwing up an ollie and making it flip all kickflip stylie. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

OK, so I get the point of women specific bindings and shoes because we do have more narrow feet. But boards? That's just a sad excuse for making more crappy stuff for girls. Sorry, but I've been pissed at this phenoemnon since I bought my first snowboard. _________________ 01/20/2009. Niko-chan! |

well, with snowboarding it does make sense when it comes to waist width and flex (I mean, generally speaking, we're lighter and we have smaller feet)...snowboards are a lot more technical than many other boards out there, and it's pretty amazing what they can do with a core, and then pair that technology up with the proper specs.
Maybe with wakeskates they'll make a shorter board or something...but outside of using it as a tool to encourage more female riders, I personally don't have a need for it.
but let me say it before scott says it, nobody cares about what I need anyway. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Hmmm, or they could just make longer and shorter boards. Narrower and wider boards. I think a women-specific wakeskate is really the worst idea ever. Couldn't someone just make a shoe instead?
No, but what I REALLY have against women-specific equppment is the fact that it often... ehhh.... blows, sucks, stinks, whatever. They make the stuff dusty pink with flowers or butterflies or whatever painted on it and in really crappy quality. Just my experience from 12 years of buying and using snowboarding gear. The situation has improved over the years, but the problem still exists. _________________ 01/20/2009. Niko-chan! |
