If you're in the north of the island, some friends of mine run a wakeboard spot on the river in Cabarete. go to www.cabwake.com
It's a really nice spot and there's a hotel down the road with a sheltered halfpipe. You can see some of the location in the new Alliance wakeboard UK film: www.myspace.com/ampuk - there's a trailor up there

Thanks for the tips. I will be staying at Boca Chica which is near the southern end. I wish I had known about Cabarete before we booked. Would have loved to surf and kiteboard. Oh well, maybe next time. _________________ "It's like there's not enough pants where there need to be more pants." |
