don't own one but I've seen one. I didn't like the look of the concave nose and tail. I think they'd be better flat.
Havent ridden one so I cant really say but it seems like you'd be loosing foot room with the tail like that |

i stopped shopping for a board...
i waited a long time to make a decision on a board. (and still realy like the integraty...)
but after talking to and seing the omen. i got it.
it came in on sat. morning and i only rode it for a short time (so far)
(** puss section... i separated ribs last weekend (w2w stuff) and am trying as hard as i can to let them heal, but i keep riding anyways but taking very easy...)
so, i realy like the feel. i am coming from an old!!! cassete and they felt very similar. (no tricks no gimiks no 12 stage rocker... just composite on water.)
it is going to take a little to get used to, almost like starting over is how it feels. but i am hoping that wears off after some more time in/on the water.
(so this is a crap review.. and i hope to add more later.)
it feels like money well spent and no regrets so far.
other than i left it on our privite dock while i pulled a friend. i got so nervious about it, i left my friend in the water after he fell and went and grabbed it. then came back and picked him up.. its easier to replace a friend than a three hundred doller board. _________________ "i spell like a 9 yr old dislexik kid..." |

shoe size 11
i didnt notice any loss of foot room. i thought that i would but it was fine. in my opinion, a realy sweet board. the board has almost the exact shape of an old cassete. (width and rocker) _________________ "i spell like a 9 yr old dislexik kid..." |

Bird Dog, I have trouble seeing how you think it's in any way similar to an old cassette. _________________ - Evan Molina |

i guess most of my thoughts on a board come from the part that is in the water and not what you stand on. (sorry i dont mean to be confusing..)
in my opinion alot of a boards ride comes from the bottom suface or shape. and that is what i am basing it off. it seams to have a long continous surface, in comparison to like the devoted. with a high nose or tail. _________________ "i spell like a 9 yr old dislexik kid..." |

Slapdown Maybe a link to your detailed review?
I keep up pretty regularly with whats going on here but I must of missed it?
So there's a concave built into the tip and tail?
I've always thought that would be good since I don't use a whole lot of the concave on a normal board.I prefer a wide stance with my feet right in the pockets.Concave there would be sweet. _________________ http://www.bellacoolahelisports.com/index.html

no concave on tip or tail..
another aspect i like.
im not sure that it is needed.
(this is also another reason it feels like a flat skate...)
but does have the concave on the sides. _________________ "i spell like a 9 yr old dislexik kid..." |

Slapdown thanks.
Here's some questions to throw out there.
Does it still feel like a wood board?
How does it sit in the water, edge, etc?
Are stock rails sharp?
Anyone shape yet?
[/b]Birddog When I say concave on the tip and tail I mean on the sides.I take it from the above posts it was concave there? _________________ http://www.bellacoolahelisports.com/index.html

| It feels like a wood deck shape wise but has a large flat area unlike an integ.....so your board sits more in the water it feels realy different....and I think it is stiffer than my integ....but the construction is great.....but I would def have to get used to it more to say I absolutely loved it but when I saw drew riding at the hippodrome he killed it on that deck....true story...and chris is cool as hell...... |

tribal, Yes it feels like a wood board.
It sits nicely.. not too low not to high, it edges great. At first you have to get used to the 5 stage because you can feel it switching between the last and middle stages. but you can control that by putting more weight on either end.
Stock rails are pretty soft. They are perfect in my opinion. _________________ - Evan Molina |

mikeskatesonwater, i don't think that an Omen is stiffer than an Integ at all. Ever. I'm going to go ahead and say, flat out, you are wrong. _________________ - Evan Molina |

the board edges very well.
very solid. more than a wood deck.
i sanded my edges last night, only lightly..
the edges are not sharp but not half rounded...
it rides simalar to the integ, but deffinently had a differnt shape.
down side;
i had my wood deck hit me in the face once...
now that i have a composite deck (and i think about it a bit more.) i am currently scared to death of it hitting me in the face.
shib happens though i guess..
+'s
i shouldnt need another skate untill i want one.
i feel i am supporting a good company.
it seems to be an idistuctible product.
has a good shape and feel.
girls love it!!!!!!
if anything goes wrong with it i came blame chris... _________________ "i spell like a 9 yr old dislexik kid..." |

slapdown, why are you so quick to call out people's opinions on this wakeskate? Leave them be, it's not like they said anything bad or destructive... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

electricsnow, Because this guy is apparently wanting some solid facts on this wakeskate, and i know, first-hand that the board is not stiffer than an integ, does not ride like an old cassette (and yes, i have tried both), and i'm not sure if whether or not it rides more like a flat is an opinion.. but from my knowledge, it most definately does not ride like a flat.
I am not trying to call out opinions at all, only challenging them with as much fact as i can, trying to give tribal here a better idea of how the board rides. _________________ - Evan Molina |

slapdown was right...
i got out my 2006 delux stiffnes tester and...
integ =269.247
omen =211.7
(note this is not a real test and can not be subject to scrutiny...)
im not sure how to help anwser the question...
other than every one and every board will bother someone else for no aperent reason.. so, catch hell on whatever you choose to ride. and enjoy, all the time!!!
and sorry to be sarcastic.. (i never had the internet at 15) _________________ "i spell like a 9 yr old dislexik kid..." |
