Ok. so we were going to take out the '07 Malibu today but we were short on gas funds. So 2hrs after we decide not to go, my cousin calls me up and says grab your gear and come outside, got you a "winch" spot. I jumped up and grabbed my skate bag which is always ready to go with my gear inside. I turn around after locking my front door and hes in my driveway ready to go.
We drive off into the country for 10min and turn into a driveway. We make are way past the house and down the property towards the back. I begin to see a ditch and then realize this ditch is a huge friggin pond.
I laid my eyes on the most perfect winch spot ever. Then William(my cousin) pulls out this "pylon" he made at work( how a malibu boat actualy gets made amazes me).
So I hopped in and to my enjoyment was greeted with some nice soft mud and warm knee deep water that was rather clean as far as winch spots go. We got lined up and he started pulling me and I was off to the races. I havent been able to wakeskate lately due to my work schedule so I was very happy just riding around.
I starting trying tricks and right off the bat hit a BS shuv. I was happy with that alone. But over the course of the next hour, I hit a few more shuvs and some FS 180's.
We packed up and I started planning my next session for this pond.
The pics suck as its a cheap digital camera and the person taking pics learned what wakeskaitng was when I jumped into the pond. I also have like no skill... but ya, more to come.
Enjoy.
The starting point going to the end.
A land gap I have a few ideas for. Another pond on the other side of it.
William attacthing his custom pylon.
The tow vehicle
Getting ready to go
Just riding.
My second or third shuv.
Ending my pull.
Heres a vid of the spot as well.

Spot is private, my cousins friend who after seen this is soon to be a friend of mine as well. More to come from this spot... A LOT more.
The water was fine, it's irragation water and is clean. No nasty stuff floating in it or a dirty felling about it at all. The mud kinda smells, but what ever _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

LOL....I meant the water in the pictures above is FINE.
The stuff in Shawshank aint fine, but if it was the only spot to hit, I'd have to hit it. _________________ The above are opinions of NotSoBueno, based on NotSoBueno's life experiences and are not reflective of the opinions of wakeskating.com, posters on wakeskating.com, or readers of threads on wakeskating.com. |

wakemitch, wow you sure know your movies...I wonder why.
That spot is sooo sick. It'll soon change from a "Winch Session" to an actual winch session. You'll see what I mean... _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

Yeah, Shawshank is definitely one of the better movies of all time, just make sure you rent the un-edited version
Chris41.....can't wait to see some 'evidence' of that which you speak _________________ The above are opinions of NotSoBueno, based on NotSoBueno's life experiences and are not reflective of the opinions of wakeskating.com, posters on wakeskating.com, or readers of threads on wakeskating.com. |
