what methods could I use to chop my fins down. I dont have access to a grinder. I was thinking a portaband might do the trick, but I'm worried it might crack the fin.

the integrity fins are kinda big. I would like something about half the size. in fact I rode a 39 with chopped fins and it felt real good, so that's what I'm looking to do, but cut the top off so the fin retains it shape.
I think I do have a dremel(or something similer) what bit would work best?

RUSSIAN, use one of the straight bits with no angle, get to the shape you want and shape it the rest of the way with sandpaper.

I took a grinder to my Integ fins cause i find them too big. A dremel and a vice would take no time at all. Here is a before and after shot, they feel a lot better than the original shape. I might take them down a little more.

Sometimes when i'm falling a certain way i think, i wish i could enable some fins right about now... but other than that I love the freedom of being finless. it feels more like snowboarding to me.
Russian, I'm probably going to buy another pair of fins to cut down... but from the board side so i can keep the stock shape of the Integrity fins. Jamie Eddy did that to a pair of Integrity fins and it looked pretty sweet. he chopped them in half, moded the locking pins to the smaller size. Im sure you have to be really careful to keep the fin square, a squewed fin will probably give a board a mind of its own.

I got some custome made fins made out of aircraft aluminum. They cost me like $25 a fin to make cause there one offs to see if they work good. There pretty sweet if they work as well as I think there going to i'm going to be selling them through my shop, or maybe with Kent. I haven't talked to him about it much yet. There called "pirtate Planks" there bad ass.

Here is a crappy picture of one of those plastic hyperlite fins that I chopped down. I just used a table jig saw and some sand paper. Worked out pretty well. But since it is a hyperlite, they have some weird hole pattern. I tried to add some studs so it would fit into my integrity, but it didnt work too well.
I liked the way the integrity rode finless though so I am not too concerned. But if someone knows of any fins less than 1" that fit an integrity nicely, let me know. The integrity fins seem a little too big for my liking and chopping down fiberglass seems a little more difficult than plastic.

Chris Barcellos, thats exactly what I want to do
SleuCrew, those are a 2 hole pattern no??
I have one of those hand held sanders that goes back and forth. Maybe I'll try that. Thanks for the ideas guys, I'll post some pics when I'm done.

RUSSIAN, They have every hole pattern in them... just take the plugs out of your integ fins and put them in and screw the center bolt.

| SleuCrew, are they made to fit an omen rocker line or are they flat on top? Also, how long are they?

Greg T, They have a little bit of rocker in them... but not too much, they are pretty universal. I have a few friends that have been rocking them on their wakeboards as well. To me they are the prefect fin, enough grab to feel comfy w2w but still really loose for everything else.
The dimensions are .7 x 5in
