I just went to my local shop and they handed me "wakeskatelife" its actually really sweet i do believe its byerlys film company putting it out and its pretty cool.

yeah i got this a couple months ago its kind of short im still waiting for issue #2 to come out.. pretty sweet though.. lots of stuff from the Projects.. sick pictures..

it's not put out by volume. mark weikel and his family and gatorboards are behind it.

It's pretty cool to hold a wakeskate mag, huh? It needs to be polished up big time though...

Just spoke with Mark yesturday. He says issue #2 is coming out early august.

From what i was told they are all going to be free, but im sure that could change at their discretion. Since we have an ad in it we will be getting some of the first sets of copies. Ill scan the cover and our ad when it comes out. Mark said that this magazine is supposed to be in a sh*tload of newstands and stores across the world.

Dont buy into wakeboarding mags wakeskating "sections" and "features". This is the mag to only support wakeskating. This next issue will be sick.

Flict, coverage is coverage and wakeskating is still small. It's not like alliance or WBM is misrepresenting wakeskating. Can you honestly argue with alliance after they had their adrift feature and a FREE ADRIFT DVD that was probably a half hour long with a number of extras? And aaron reed has his own column in A WAKEBOARDING magazine (Alliance) as well. And if I remember correctly, a number of the forum members were completely psyched to see nick taylor in the annual WBM photo issue with his flawless tre flip. And personally speaking, I'm happy to see any cool shot in a mag because when they're done right, they can be pretty inspiring.

All I know is those mags have been covering wakeskating for a long time. They do what they can, knowing that most of the reading population wants to see wakeboarding (I now understand that fact). If it weren't them, we wouldn't have seen ANY wakeskating in any print form for the last decade. That would have been so sweet!

Anyway, that last comment in your post struck me as pompus and those other magazines deserve some respect, regardless of big or small their "features" are. But congratulations on your ad in wakeskate life, and good luck with your company.

alliance is good. i don't even look at wakeboarding mag anymore.
our local boat shops will have racks full of back issues of alliance. i cought up on like 5 months for free. Very Happy

i have two copies of wakeskate life. i want to keep one real nice. y'a know, for nostalgia.

u guys are so lucky in australia only 1shop near my house get WBM but only 1 copy so if i miss that one copy im screwed and they have australian wakeboarding mags to but those mags suck so bad they like never have wakeskatin and over here WE GET NO ALLIANCE SO I MISS OUT ON ADRIFT AND ALL THE OTHER GOOD STUFF Mad

Sometimes you guys are so lame... Quit argueing about the stupid small crap. Just be stoked that wbm and alliance have wakeskating in them and then be even more stoked that someone is trying to better it by making a wakeskate only mag. IF you dont like the way things are going then do something to change it.

I'm stoked about a wakeskate only mag. I was looking through the newest issue of Transworld Skate (i think or maybe thrasher) and was like.... This is what our magazines need to look like. A wakeskating only mag is going to open so many doors for everyone, More shots, more opinions, more voices, More of what we care about. Dont bicker amongst yourselfs cause at heart I'm sure we all want the same thing.......
