I watched the movie American History X today and have to say it was one of the most thought prevoking movies I have ever seen. The movie really makes you rethink racism many times over while throwing curveballs at you the entire time. The main character is protrayed as a gang leading skinhead while also being a very caring person and intelligent. I watched the movie with two girls and a few other guys and it seemed that everybody else thought it was a terrible movie and they seemed to have missed every single point the movie tries to make. I was curious to read everybody else's thoughts about the movie(hopefully they will be more intelligent then curb stomping is cool).

That is one of my favorite movies of all time and agree with you that the movie sends across many other points that most people probably see right through.. it also shows racism from the other side of the spectrum..

i loved the movie. and i agree with lake tarpon because i like how it shows racism from both points of view. the film is definitely thought provoking.

Yea I really liked that movie. It was weird for me because some of the racist points made sense to me and it was strengthening my prejudices, but when the teacher guy said, "Has anything you've done made your life any better?", I realized hating other's on the basis of race, sex, age, etc. is pointless and can only make your life and others worse.

Love is life, Hate is living death. This movie is over many peoples heads and I have many people into it for the wrong reasons and fail to the thought provoking nature of it. I love this flick
