If you guys remember my Bahamas Video from last summer that entire video was behind a whaler. Although that has a 90 HP outboard. Im not sure if 40 is enough but it cant hurt to try.

I have a jon boat with a 5 hp that pulls me and im 170lbs. I have to dock start because it wont deep water but its fun as hell and it goes 20mph. My friends jon boat with a 10hp pulls me up no problem deep water and goes a little bit faster so 40hp boston whaler is plenty of power.
