What kind of coating or sealant? can i put on the bottom and the sides of my bi level to protect the wood? It's currently under maintenance so i need some suggestions.

good question! i went to a hardware store and they had Minwax® Helmsman® Spar Urethane. But this guy was telling me that i should use Sadolin Yacht. It's also a protective coating and for SALT WATER. Which should i buy for by bilevel?
