for all of you who bicker and cry about aaron reed and what he has said in the past- check out the latest alliance mag. reed read's article.

on a side note its interesting how it seems that the internet forums are becoming more and more a part of things. i can remember when nobody knew what internet forums were all about, but slowly ive seen publications refer to them more and more, wake dvds use them as sources of legitimacy (the book dvd), some boat company (i think MC?) sold boats that had stickers saying it was wakeworld boat of the year. stuff like that.

oh, and the alliance issue comes with a red bull adrift dvd Very Happy

and there's a nice shot of reed doin a little somethin somethin w/ what appear to be 4trac style fins. i cant remember any other specifics and im feelin a bit too lazy to go scan the pic.

How long is the DVD? And does it have footage from both adrift events, or just this past one?

I think it's cool that DVD comes with the mag. It's very "skateboard mag"-esque, and I love the idea of a little bonus DVD for subscribers. (or, that's what the skateboard mag does. I don't know if alliance threw this dvd in with every issue or if it's just a thing for subscribers.)

anyway, I can hardly wait for the mag and dvd, as always.

as far as i know the dvd comes with every mag. we got our shipment of mags in to the shop yesterday and BAM! there's a dvd that's glued to the first page of the adrift magazine write up. it only has the latest adrift event. its sort of a documentary/behind the scenes deal with interviews and how it all went down. very fuel tv-ish. use your imagination. anyways, the dvd is like 15 mins or something. not quite sure, becuse i havent had the chance to sit down and watch it in entirety since we have are having a sale today and we were setting up for the sale yesterday. it looks like there's definitely some substance to the vid, though. both in riding and in lifestyle/off the water stuff.

He's sayin everyone need to step it up. "Thomas did the first kickflip in 1999, and it takes 7 years for someone to figure out how to make the board flip in the other direction?" -A. Reeds words as hes talkin about how Reed Hansen has 11 flip tricks when he only has about 3 years uner his belt whereas A. Reed only has 3. Hes saying the pros are becoming comfortable at bein the best..but not gettin better, and he needs the unknowns to step it up and push the pros so they actually have to fight for their status/title.
