Is that a jet boat?

Using a boat like that for a contest kind of alienates the people who do wake to wake tricks.

If money's a problem, then just buy a 1982 Ski Nautique, a 7 foot pole and a fat seat...

seriously.

arent' jet boats easier to control the speed with, than an I/O. We had one at one time and my dad said it held speed better than our current i/o

I like greg's idea but I'm sure thats much easier said than done. Personally, I have no experience behind a jet boat.

I wouldn't have a comp behind a jet boat. I would have (like others have said) a jet ski and then a boat. (ex: Nautique, Malibu, MasterCraft, Supra, etc...)

ya if its going to be a ski boat make it one thats more realistic in the wakeskate world. most people that are really into it are not getting $50,000 boats. i think it would be sweet to have it be more like a hanging out kinda thing then a real comp, something fun and not like you have to be on the dock at this time and can only go down and back. just have it be a party and someone wins

We will have that at our partygreg van wagnen, and you are invited

on the tournament it will be laid back I HOPE Pretty sure that it will be 5 min time limit with unlimited falls on the pwc and boat formats

not sure about how to do the cable part of the format. How does owc run the cable tournament?

5 minute expression session is an awesome idea, it's so stupid how the pro tour only gives you 3 falls. this is wakeskating, not wakeboarding, falling is going to happen.

Would it be like a constant running clock? Or would it stop once the rider is down and start when he/she gets back up? Because if it's constantly running, the driver would be able to alter the comp. by the turn around time and the amount of time each rider receives. Maybe this is too "technical" for wakeskating, but I think a competion SHOULD be fair.
