16mm is actual film that you need to get developed and put onto a CD or miniDV tape, the cameras are old and overall the entire 16mm process is super expensive. however, it does look nice just more of a hassle than throwing a miniDV cam in the car or somthing. with 16mil the camera is a lot bigger, you need more film, and you need to meter the light (almost positive). its used in a lot of pro vids, not really skating (skateboarding) unless its an artsy section.

btw, fisheyes for smaller cameras, the best one is the Century Optics .3x Fisheye a.k.a. the "Baby Death". it is a baby because the bigger one is for panasonic DVXs, canon GLs or sony VXs. although the centuries are more expensive, especially the ones for the bigger 3CCD cams they are great lenses and the quality is fantastic. they can take skateboard hits and they're still ok. epic housings seem the way to go because they are cheap compared to other housings! if you go for a serious housing say for diving by a company such as ikelite is going to be high hundreds or north of a thousand.
