the wakeskating shoes were for skateboarding first. what about drilling holes in the bottom. i know there are many better shoes out there just as good if not better than dvs or adio for wakeskating. _________________ Be Yourself! |

they never made wakeskate specific shoes, they just decided what skateboarding shoes (previously made) were also good to wakeskate in. _________________ Be Yourself! |

c.brenton, The DVS Milan, Volari, Freemont, and Dresdens came in mesh specifically for wakeskaters. They are made for wakeskating. The Adio Quests are also made for wakeskating. They have Mesh tongues (i think?) and Logos on the side with a screen to help drain the shoes of water. _________________ - Evan Molina |

stompin9s, I know for sure that the Milans had a model out that was advertised as a wakeskate shoe. The others were just sold as wakeskate shoes i guess? The Adio Quest i thought was marketed as a wakeskate shoe? _________________ - Evan Molina |

I agree with Slapdown... the mesh Milans were defiantly marketed as a wakeskate specific shoe... and since the other shoes came in mesh (actually I am pretty sure the Dresdens were the first to come in mesh) just as the wakeskate specific Milans did, it is only natural to assume that they also wakeskate specific… as for the Quest I thought it was marketed as a wakeskate shoe but I could defiantly be wrong about that. _________________ No Falls - No Balls |

I ride in the DVS Dresdens. Own a few black/red and a few of the new Green\black. As far as durability i think the dresdens need some work. After a few sessions you might notice tears in the fabric. Dont skateboard in these shoes! I would love to try the adios or another pair just because the Dresdens dont feel like they protect my feet enough but they sure look good. No one said pimpin was easy. _________________

welll im sure that they were all marketed as wakeskte shoes. it just kinda makes me sad to know that the wakeskte shoe buisness is a monopoly. i tried other shoes besides adio, dvs and there great for wakeskting.
Jesse your headed in the right direction
check these lakais out, they are mesh and there not marketed as wakeskte shoes, for those of you who think the mesh feature is only for wakeskting.

I could care less about a monopoly... I loved DVS before I even wakeskated (aka when I skateboarded)... the way I see it is they obviously cared enough about the actual sport of wakeskating to make a wakeskate specific shoe rather then just a skate shoe used for wakeskating. So I am fine with a so called “monopoly” even tho I don’t think they really have one… _________________ No Falls - No Balls |

DVS does not own Lakai, they are ran by the same parent company, i could say the same about Lakai owning DVS. _________________ Be Yourself! |

anybody tried them? |
I have a pair...they're great...I wear them everyday as well as wakeskate in them. They're super comfy, more so then the firsts (which I also own) and are nearly indestructable and dry super fast. Byerly knows his shizzle.
They're also stylin'...I even rocked them at Safe Grad. |
