I would consider the 41 Prodigal, because its good for tech stuff, and good for w2w, where the a.h. might be a little harder for w2w.

i have not road eather board but the omen will last longer and it has reshapeable rails so you can make it ride more like you want it to. Also i hear it has a lot of pop.

the oaks are not ur typical wood concave. each ply is sealed by itself and then glued together and then sealed. it will last a hell of a lot longer than any other wood board out there.

the oak (all wood) wont last as long as the omen will. Its made the way a skateboard is, glued together with 7 or 8 wood layers, mainly maple. The omens are actually a combination of dura surf(composite) and wood. If you skateboard, the omen would be choice (in my opinion) since its kick tail is steeper (more pop), more like a new black label(skateboard) with its huge kicktail and concave. THe weight is also supposed to be heavier than most composite wakeskates and lighter than the wood decks. I know Ive done my fair share of research and i am going with the omen because of its kicktails and durability(wont get water logged and lose pop like wood). THe weight is also closer to a real skateboard because of how light it is. I personally havent skated either of them but i know im getting a omen.

canalskater, I thought most wood wakeskates were made like skateboards. each ply glued by itself and then sealed. i think its the concave and shape of oak that makes it different from other wood decks rather than the way its made, maybe im wrong though

c.brenton, Wakeskates and skateboards are made completely different. Including oak. Wakeskates have to have marine grade epoxy on them, whereas for skateboards, there is no reason for them to be water-safe, so no high-grade sealant is used. Most wakeskates are made similarly to skateboards and then are covered in the marine epoxy. Oak, from what i understand, puts the marine epoxy on each ply for added strength and durability.

If anyone knows for sure that i am wrong, please tell me. This information is only what i have gathered from being involved in skateboard production, and from being on this site.

Really? Will the Omen last longer? I don't mean to sound harsh here, but no one besides team riders have really been able to go over these decks for an extended period... Even if there were a problem (Not saying there is) what do you think the odds are that a TEAM rider would talk about it publicly on a forum like this?

Don't get me wrong, I have faith in Chris and Omen, but come on, you gotta at least look at your sources. All I'm saying is just wait for the production models to come out and let people shredd around on them before completely judging them. Anyways, that's just my 2 cents. Birthday

c.brenton, what about them? i think Dragon88 is talking more about long-lasting durability.

I'm not at all saying that Omens suck, or that they're going to break easily, because I doubt that they will. All I'm saying is to analyze your sources instead of just taking the word of others. Especially when that word is the word of the company, or people sponsored by the company.

All I'm saying is just wait for the real decks to come out and give them a chance to prove themselves. Don't believe the hype, and just let the product speak for itself.
