I just got the Catalyst jacket... I love how it feels but I didnt realize it wasnt CGA. Its got the 2 buckles on the front and all....so my question is
Should i go back and get the jet piolet full metal
and for those of you who rock the non cga jackets
anyone know what the fine looks like if you get one (money wise) _________________ Classik Wakeskates...www.classikwake.com |

I think as long as it looks like you're wearing a vest you're ok. |

i got a ticket the other day for not wearing a vest while driving a ski and it was 70 bucks, i'm sure the fine would be the same for not wearing a CGA vest. _________________ ▼▽▲△ |

if you're wearing a vest i doubt they're going to pull you over. it's not like you could really tell just riding by. but i guess if you did get pulled over while wearing one you'd be in a little trouble. |

I don't think the marine patrol in my area back home know the difference, haha. Has anyone else noticed that marine patrol are worse than regular street cops? |

I got a stopped once for having to many people in the boat and not enough life jackets... the funny thing was, he did not inspect my vest, just counted the ones we had... we did not have enough even with my "non approved" vest... I think he let us off with a warning tho... I can’t really remember. _________________ No Falls - No Balls |

As a non-american citizen I'm intersted what the laws on CGA says. Are those state laws ? if so have all states approved of them ?
As for Sweden I don't think there are laws which require you to wear a life vest. No one has ever enforced it, not even when we got caught by the coast guard so I guess there aren´t any.
On another note - what do you guys think of the Jet Pilot Baller vest ? _________________ Jazz up your life !

OUr marine patrols don't care too much about vests... in fact i don't think they care too much about anything, i have never seen any of them even doing anything. All ours do is ride around. If there is something they care about sometimes though, it's glass bottles. We aren't allowed to have them and they kind of enforce that. _________________ - Evan Molina |

Tobias_Neumann, it's the united states coast guard so anything they approve or don't approve applies to every state... _________________

I ride non CGA and I've never even been questioned. I do ride on a private lake though. The popo come out like once a year so we keep a low profile. |
