Just looking for a tip or 2 on decreasing line tension so I can easily do the handle pass when doing surface slides.
I can do them, but it seems like I have to pull WAY to hard in order to get the handle to my lower back for the pass.
Is there anything I can do (hold loosing a few pounds) to make this easier.
Do folks try this directly behind to boat? |

howabouttheiris, cut out real far into the flats and you'll get the line tension you need. _________________ -Jordan Schwaller

u need to have the rope close to hip. when u spin just make sure that ur not not too close in but not too far out from the wake. _________________ -andrew- |

Worked some on this last night.....
I think I was trying to pull the rope behind my back to do the pass while the tip of my board was pointing to the boat.
It seems to be much easier to keep the rope close, turn so my back is pointing to the boat and then do the pass.
Do folks agree that this is the correct order? |

I am just trying to spin while on the water directly behind the boat.
I am comfortable changing from regular to switch and back, but the 180 behind my back is getting me.
Can you post your vid? |

| try to commit and spin faster. put a little carve into it. i think it's more about turning your head than spinning yourself with the handle. transfer more weight to your front foot. |

howabouttheiris, it will be way more easier to do it far away from the boat in the flats, thats where you can loose the most line tension. And what mario said about the weight tranfer is very important My gf loves to do surface spins _________________

Thanks for the feedback....
My favorite part is the part where folks forgot they were once new to the sport and posted slams. |

What's fun is when the boat is turning around, be on the inside of the turn with the wake frontside to you. At the point where you start slowing down and lose tension, it's really easy to spin. _________________
