The cracks are from the pressure involved in riding. Not much you can do, I wouldnt stress it, just head to your local Home Deepho and get some Spar Urethane, it comes in a spray can. Sand the areas that have the hairline cracks and seal it up. Keep the can of Spar Urethane around, you will use it again and it will become your friend.

It's because I live in FL, for UPS it's always next day if the package stays in state.
