Alright so i built a winch. Its nothing fancy just straight up winch. I am almost finished just some more bolting and rope and paint and a mounting strap. Ive had a super good time creating this device. Watching it grow from a dream to me drawing plans to my dad sayinng "you don't need a winch, its just going to get you in trouble" to me having a engine to now. So Stoked. Total cost is 350.00 Canadian. Tomrow is the last building day where i finish bolting and attach the rest of the parts. Expect more pics/riding pics and full write up with specific costs soon. Big thanks to anyone who helped me along the way. Enjoy--The Beaver Retriver--

Thanks guys. Finished it today minus paint and waiting for rope. Everything went well in a test with a skateboard, way to fast so it should bejust right on the water.
Shane- PM me you number i lost it.
Evan- For sure dude we got lots of stuff in mind. There's a park near me with 3 picnic tables just sitting there and water and I'm getting some rail building stuff tomorrow.

First test went down today. It pulled great. Shore starts were super easy, deepwater pulled me up but not my brother, its all technique if you know how its easy the clutch slipped from time to time but nothing major, if you know how to get up with out plowing its easy. My rope broke not because of the strength but i cut out to ollie a floating thing and the rope went around a tree and i didn't notice nor did the driver and the rope stared cutting through the tree and all of a sudden it snapped. Tied the rope together duck taped it and rode another 4 hours with out any problems.... I love winching. Another session tomorrow
