I have a 05 byerly sk8 and thinking of changing the foam to grip. What do you guys think?

i have grip on mine and well, i kind of like it. makes you feel kinda funny, like climbin the rope in gym class. . .

I have the same one...with foam. I've recently ridden a gripped one & it definately rode A LOT better though...So, I'd say go with the grip if you are unhappy with how it is riding right now.

wakeskate242, the gripped one that you rode, is it 05 or 06? yeah i'm definitely considering changing to grip. It's just sad to take off the foam. Confused

it was an 06. but the boards are EXACTLY the same except the grip and graphics. I know what you mean, i just don't have the time to grip mine right now. It's almost as if the foam is part of the board b/c it's so sticky. what I would do for a few hours of free time...

use a hair dryer to get the glue warm and then the foam will peel off easy, then use something like Goo-Gone and put it all over the top of the deck and then rub off the glue like rubbing off rubber cement off of a table at school when you're bored...

I like grip alot better on the byerly.

It hurts when your scrape on it though i have scrapes all up and down my legs from catching it aginst the leg haha

i also griped my old armada
