Yo guys hope you can help me out. My cassette bi-level's kinda old. The coating on the edge of the nose and tail is almost gone. So you can feel the wood unlike on the other parts of the skate, its still shiny/smooth and all. What can i apply on it to make it look good and hopefully make stronger?

Scuff it lightly with some 150 grit sand paper then re-seal it using polyurethane marine grade sealant. Scuffing the surface will allow the sealant to stick better.

You can also try searching the forums for "How to make a wakeskate" to see what people use to seal their skates.

Also if you want you can re-paint it with your own graphics, stencils, exc. Before you re-seal it if you're looking to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

yeah it lookd bad, and I would guess it's because of the water, i'd just try what everyone has said and if that doesn't work then it's probably not gonna get better...Good Luck.

you could try to put a thin sheet of carbon all around the edges... I'm going to try that on a bi I still haven't rode. It is very very light and will resist bumps and dents very well

thin sheets of carbon are not that expensive either.
