| Where do I begin? I can do them forwards and back now (not sure which is frontside and which is backside so please enlighten me), but I don't know If I should be on my heel or toeside edge of the wake (regular rider). Also, completely different topic, but what is the purpose of riding with one fin? |

Toeside edge of the wake for regular. When your back is facing the the boat its a frontside. Front of body facing boat = backside. Im not totally sure correct me if im wrong. One fin thing I guess is for wake to wake, I dont ride with a fin so I dont know.

with one fin u can learn tricks with a fin or without by jsut switching sides. its just an easy adjustment instead of having to use both fins and worry about too much catch. ummm well on the book it says something about how if the wake is to your front or behind you is how u determine bs or fs. lip slide i think is where the back or your board (tail) goes over the wake first. so ya if the wake is in front of u and you put your tail first ovr it its a fs lipslide. i think the one that is confusing is the boardslide. bs boardslide is when your back is to the wake and your nose goes over . so your front opens to the boat but its BS. so its weird. correct me if im wrong. _________________ "Cause I have found, all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade....." |

| So wait there is only one option for a boardslide in lip tricks? Does it all change if you're hitting a rail and not the wake? |

Just think of the wake as a rail... if you are facing the wake... and the nose goes over the lip first, then it is a frontside (b/c you are facing the wake) boardslide. If your back is to the wake, then it is a backside boardslide.
Lipslides are where your tail goes over the lip instead of the nose of the board. Same directions apply.
I might have gotten that wrong though, so someone please correct me. |

| I think I get... so there is a boardslide and lipslide option on both your heel and toe side of the wake? And when someone says lip tricks it includes boardslides? |

| the one fin thing is to make the board directional. so it has a definite nose and tail. thats why its more popular with asym boards. so basically you do your trick and if it was a 180 shuv variation then your board would be backwards and the tail would be in the front. then do a shuv or something else thats easy to get the board the right way again. |

| Jama, lip slides are not called lipslides because of the lip of the wake. |

Dude I'm with you I never skated much so it is a little confusing, to even know what someone is doing Like a switch ts, fs 270 shuv bs 180 bv on to bs half cab off. If that makes any sence at all. _________________ Choose your own path before it is chosen for you
