I have been thinking about this for a while.... i know cassette has been doing the 4 trac for a while now, and i've heard they now have a 6 fin hole pattern. I really think it would be cool if they would design a durable (i.e. steel) open holed fin so that the board wouldn't ride too tight when doing lip tricks and you could leave the fins on all the time instead of replacing them when you want to do nose/tail slides. Kampus did a similar thing with their "bumps" but I think cassette could improve on them. That way you could with fins (trucks) on all of the time and slide however and whenever you want.... just an idea.

Greg Lantz, if im not mistaken I dont think cassette makes a 6 fin hole pattern. thats y its called the 4trac not the 6trac Rolling Eyes ya makes seens tho about what ur talkin about. like how rides the 4-trac fins in when not sliding Rolling Eyes like it would be to hard. i know kampus makes those but I bet the fins are hard to ride with.

yea they switched to a 6 hole pattern this year. That way you could do nose slides or tail slides, since the board is a-symmetrical.

They call it a 4 Trac because the graphic on the board is a 4 trac machine the name has nothing to do with the fin pattern.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think Cassette is taking full advantage of having all six holes.

I would think an open fin would be really weak.
