wakesurf boards

i was really interested in getting one, i live in the florida keys where theres no waves, and i have a group of freinds who all take monthly surf trips up to miami for sum surfing and i figuered if i couldnt go almost every month id get one of these

but i dont no Any thing when it comes to these boards, are they just like surfing or no at all? im 5'6 and 120 pounds, so what size should i get?
any good sites where i can get one? how do u use them? are they really hard?
