"quote="Ska_686"Wakeskate/Skatebaord/Longboard= Goofy
Snowboard/Wakeboard = Regular

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm just like you, your not alone. Heres how it went. A long, long time ago I taught myself how to skateboard. I taught myself to push mongo and ride goofy. That shows how much i knew about skateboarding. Then i took a snowboarding lesson for the first time and the instructor taught me to ride regular. From that point on I always felt comfortable riding regular while being strapped in, and using my left leg for ollie power on the skateboard, wakeskate, wakesurfer, and snowskate. yes, its weird. Shocked but it works.

I push mongo on a skateboard because my left leg likes to push and that dicates that, which kinda sucks because it takes longer for a mongo rider to setup for a trick then a nonmongo rider. I ride regular, and a good way to find out if your goofy or regular is to have someone push you backwards from a standstill position and which ever foot you catch yourself with is your front foot. I find that most professionals are goofy, but the people with the best style are regular, but that is biased because I am regular.

Reg.. Sad

i wish i was more special..but i think it's because the guy that originally taught me to wakeboard had his board set up regular. I realize this doesn't matter now but i had no clue back then.

I also push mongo naturally (which i noticed seems to be a trend among the wakeskaters posted in this thread) but have also gained the ability to push reg due to ridicule but i still push mongo....let the haters hate Cool

skating and wakeskating wakeboarding iam goofy. i learned to snowboard goofy but tended to ride switch until i turned regular. i also surf regular and skimboard goofy. i push mongo........im screwed up. but ithink this makes me alot better at switch since i learned in a different stance

Goofy. I started surfing like that and just did everything else the same.

I started out pushung mongo on a skateboard, but when I realised that the other way was easier to setup for tricks I made myself change. Now it's hard for me to try and push mongo. Even skating switch I don't push mongo.

Does anyone push normal one way and mongo the other (switch) or vice versa?
