| How many of you guys can do kickflips on wooden skates? Is it harder than on a fibreglass skate?

| ridehatzic, it's definitely the rider not the board. Anyone that can do a kickflip on a composite skate can do one on a wooden skate.

I can't really compare because wood skates are the only skates I have ridden... but I don't have any problems with k-flips on my Kampus... I think it would depend on the weight and stuff...
what skate are you riding?

I really hate it when someone has the false impression that, getting a new, better board is going to durasticly change their ability. I understand that their are the few exceptions to this statement, but the rider's ability has little (however, still some) dependance on the actual board. I don't mean to call anyone out on this, it's just something that bothers me.

| Even though, your not calling anyone out on this, that's not what I'm saying at all, I'm just curious.

umm.... me circa 2002??? flat cassette 41'
it does help to have a bada$$ board tho, one that won't lose pop like wood does in a month... i'm actualy still riding the same integ from about a year ago. has the same F'n pop! but yea, it is possible to progress past a boards capibilities, and having a better board helps... but anythings possible.

yes, i can, and find it somewhat easier than fiberglass/composite skates, especially ones that will tear chunks of flesh out on a bad landing.
quality wood boards hardly lose pop, and have a whole lot to start out with, so i feel ahead of the game riding wood, especially ones that are gonna last- even when you prop up the nose and tail and jump on them repeatedly...
