| I was just in Kelowna on a snowboarding spring break trip. Are you going for snowboarding or just vacation or what? |

warlock, kelowna is so rad, dont stop in just Vancouver. In the summer the temperature is always like 30-40 celcius (i thinks thats close to 100F). In kelowna their are also many you can ride, lake okanogen, wood lake, kalamalka, duck lake ect. And they are all huge lakes. If u can i would try to stay on either wood lake or kalamalka just because compared to lake okanogen they usually aren't as busy, or atleast not as rough. There are a couple wakeboard schools around here and a few good shops as well. If you skateboard, kelowna has a really nice park to. Kelowna is also a 4-5 hour drive from Vancouver, or you can take a 40 minute flight. In Vancouver there a couple places to ride aswell, but mostly ocean, unless you want to ride on the river. There are also a couple of school in Vancouver aswell. But yeah check out both places. _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

From what I remember, going to PWT in Kelowna last year, from the ferry terminal (Horseshoe Bay, it's like 20 minutes out of downtown) it took us somewhere around 4 hours to get into Kelowna.
As far as wakeskating, there are a few lakes around the main Okanagan lake, such as Duck lake or Woods lake. It's a nice town for sure, but i'm sure there are ample areas to wakeskate just in or around Vancouver itself if that is what you're after. You could probably meet up with Evan Park around Vancouver, I think he's out in Delta. _________________ Get ya' hair did. |

| There's so many great lakes in and around the Vancouver area. I skate at Hatzic which is the best lake ever, always glass. Then there's cultus lake, alouette lake and probably a bunch of lakes that I don't even know about. |

Catalyst, What are you taking at UVic? I'm in my first year at Malaspina in Nanaimo; I live in Ladysmith.
If you're ever around these parts give me a pm and we can ride, I have a boat and will soon have a ski. _________________ Get ya' hair did. |

Warlock
Vancouver to Kelowna is a 4 hr drive or 3 1/2 if your really given er. The interior or BC ( ie. kelowna, Penticton) is warmer than Vancouver in the summer and has some awesome lakes. If you want to get even warmer check out Osoyoos, it is the desert of BC and the lake is freakin hot!
Vancouver is also pretty good as it is on the coast we ride in salt or a little ways out of town their are lakes that ridehatzic pointed out.
At any rate make sure you give Parky or I a shout if you are heading this way as we would certainly extend some West Coast Hospitality......in other words you would be out on my boat every day you are here |
