I decided i want to grip and paint my K39. I got on photoshop and made a pic of what i want it to look like.. I would like to note that i would never try to pass this as a "rise wakeskate." Everyone knows that we do not have wakeskates... yet... Anyways, i just wanted to see what you guys think of it.

I also know that a few people here have painted their wakeskates.. What type/brand of sealant should i put on it, and how many coats.. about 6 or 7 is what i seem to remember hearing.. Thanks a lot everyone Very Happy

that looks really good. but if you're not trying to pass it off as a Rise Wakeskate then you probably shouldn't put Rise Wakesates on the board

who cares its a sick looking graphic and as long as he doesn't go into mass production of that exact shape ummm hes ok.....if he has the resources to make skatesboards and the know how to make graphics for decks then maybe he should be thinking about making a wakeskate anyway Laughing

p.s. there is nothing wrong with shameless advertising on your own board.

mikeskatesonwater, Oh i have been thinking about making wakeskates for sooooooo long! but before that, i am going to make as much money as i can from selling our skateboard decks, and videos and such, then we will begin seriously contemplating wakeskate construction and details and the expenses... Wakeskates cost a lot more to produce, not to mention the shapes are different for all companies, and concave is... meh.. It gets complicated in the end. But who knows, maybe one of these days we will have wakeskates! I really hope so, that would be the sickest thing in the world to me.

Slapdown, taking the foam off of a k39 sucks, use a blow dryer to help loosen the "stickyness" of it...

the "Rise" design looks sick fo sho

For sealant use clear coat marine varnish...make sure to get the clear stuff though, regular marine varnish turns everything a nice urine coloured yellow. 3 coats is all you really need...that's all I've put on mine and it hasn't waterlogged or anything after two seasons and a couple run-ins with docks. You might want to got 4-5 to be safe...just make sure that the coats are completely dry before you do another.

Slapdown, I like the idea of customizing your skate to your shorts. All about that style.
