I've read the posts against it, and I know most of you like the 'indy' brands.. but since I'm just starting and this deal was far too killer to pass up I broke down and picked up the following:

05 HYPERLITE KHARMA WAKESKATE 105

Part#: 05_kharma_105

(Qty: 1 x $139.00)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Subtotal: $139.00

Tax: $10.77

S&H: $0.00

Final Total: $149.77

i got the same board-and it was my first board too-i learned the basics(w2w-shuv it) with it-the fins are really good!
the problem is the foam top-mine had a big hole after the first season! so for this season i bought jessup grip to replace it,also i bought a nice all wood concave board to see the difference..

Yeah, I'm still new to the water in general.. I've got my basics on the wakeboard down, but I'm still a skater at heart and I've been itching to get a wakeskate for the past 6 months or so.

My folks have the boat, and sadly I wont be getting my own ride anytime soon so the prospect of being able to be towed by a jet-ski seemed a bit more realistic for my broke ass.

Anyone have any shoe preferances or tips?

if your a skater at heart you will stay with wakeskating!!! bindings suck!!!
the foam was pretty good sticky with jetpilot shoes-with byerly it was more slippery-but i liked them better..first you have to get a sticker to put on those stupid byerly fin holes,or the water will spray in your eyes....

i like em-they are really light, and they don`t take to much water-the next day after you rode them ,they are dry again! the good thing about the bad foam is,that my hyperlite dealer gave me a brand new board because of that hole- and i could keep the old one!!!

On or off the water?
