Is there a big difference between a regular skate and a double decker skate thing? If so, then what would that be?

the guy doesnt know, give him a break.

Ska_686, bi level boards usually have a very different feel to them but tend to fall apart rather quickly. regular skates usually have a very good overall performance and last a bit longer.

Ska_686, you should just get a wood flat deck for your first board. they are around $100.
