I was thinking about putting a cassette graphic on the bottom...something different, handpainted. After I paint her I should? Can anyone recommend a sealant/primer/epoxy. I've never sealed a baord before and I want this one to last. I don't know what steps to take or what products to use. Any help is appreciated as always. Thankyou!

Spar Urethane is the best stuff you can get without having to get sealant in 5 gallon buckets. When you are finishing a board, Step 1: Sand it not super hard, but just enough, Step 2: Paint it, Step 3: Walk away and let the paint chill preferably overnight, Step 4: With a much finer grit sandpaper, sand it LIGHTLY, I mean hardly even pushing down with hand, you dont wanna mess up the work you did painting, Step 5: Seal it, about 2 coats with light sanding before the second coat
The most important thing is to not rush the process, Hope this helps bro.

Raven, as far as hand painting a Cassette graphic, I would instead get a nice peice of tag board, an exacto knife, and a cutting board and go to town on a detailed stencil. If you use spray paint it may last on the bottom of the deck longer and if it doesn't you can save the stencil and redo it when neccessary
