Kids, do your research. Straight off HL's site: "The magic weight of our high-end skates is around 8 lbs." The '06 and '05 Byerlys are the same boards with different graphics.

Now, the Tolstoy and 05/06 Byerly ride differently. The Byerly is much thicker and doesn't flex, where as the Tolstoy is lighter, thinner, and will flex. With the bevel edge on the Byerly, it edges similiar to that of a wood skate when compared to the stock Tolstoy. However, Integrity was smart enough to allow you to reshape their edges, so you could infact manipulate the edges on the Tolstoy to meet your preference.

Also consider the Liquid Force Armada and Omen (wood core) wakeskate in the compression molded category.

the hype skates are closer to 8.5 lbs, and the 05 Integs are less flexy than the original tolstoy and team

kento911, so it means that the 05 integs are heavier than the tolstoy cause they're less flexy?

Im sure it picks up some weight due to the extra strip of 22oz glass in it and the resin it soaks up, but not enough you will really notice, but the weight of the integ was never an issue in my mind they are closer to 7 lbs as I recall, the 05 integs are nice boards and given the choice I would deffinately pick one over a byerly and even the older integ team or tolstoy

i rode a 05 byerly for the most part of last year, and it rides great. i think it has perfect weight. i weigh 180lbs. and it seemed real predictable. fins or no fins. it is around 42" inches , wich i also liked.
