so i need help with a new board for this season. my options are now to not go over 250 bucks. ive been looking at the liquid force impulse 41" but ive also ran across the gator board mcguckin 41". the Doyle from gatorboards also looks good. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. im trying to stay away from cassette for now because of the unstability of the company right now, and gator boards is really comin strong for 06 but the liquid force is probly my favorite right now. Thanks. Ride for Life.

i would ride a cassette whether they are a stable company or not, if it wasnt for T-Man we wouldnt be here today Rolling Eyes i just hope everything is cool with him..... Crying or Very sad

if you wanna look at another company, take a look at Oak, Satty, Distortion, Kampus, etc

Why would you select a board based on a companies stability? Do you think they might come and repo your board when they file bankruptcy?

ScottFran418, its really all aboput personal preference, for starters the wood decks arent going to last as long as say the Doyle, second all those 3 boards ride very different, so if at all possible I would try to demo or see if there are kids in your area that will let you try there decks, even if they arent the ones your lookign for the more variety of decks you ride the more likely you will know exactly how you wan the board to ride, adn you will then be able to make a much better educated guess at which one is best for you, I highly DONT reccomend buying a cassette unless its an 06 or an 03 or older, b/c the 04/05 years were know for disassembling themselves fairly rapidly, actually a friend of mine had his 04 4-trac delam in the visqueen sitting in his room waiting to be ridden, they are a great company with a rich history, but as of late they have had some production/durability issues, there are some companies offering some VERY impressive boards at a slightly higher pirce point than you want to spend, but it may be worth the extra 50-60 bucks to jump up to an Integrity, there is also the Hyperlite Byerly, which is actually a very good board as well as an Omen or Distortion wood core composite when they are released there are ALOT of options out there the best way to get what you want is to go out and test it and form your own opinion politics, and forum junkies aside

ScottFran418, of the two choices listed in your post I would have to say go with the Gator McGuckin, because, its one of the best priced boards on the market right now and Gator makes great boards. But, if you wanna look around for more options do as Kento stated and Demo. Thats one of the best things you can do

ScottFran418, get the integrity team for 240. its the exact same as the promodel but the base on the pro model is durasurf so it lasts longer on rails. but no matter what an integrity is stronger than most boards

demoing around here costs like 25$ a day. which is bulljive, because yo could buy a wakeskate with the money you spent once you find a good one that you really like. Neutral

If your thinking about getting a gator.... i think you should defiantly go with the oak 42 gege... there alot similiar in shape and the way they ride imo. except you would be supporting a wakeskate company. And they flip alot better than the gators.... and i could be wrong, but i think they might be cheaper.... and they can defiantly take a beeting. I have been sliding docks and going to tsr like crazy and that thing is holding up to anything i can dish out... there built solid... GO WITH THE OAK!

pyroskater, does your shop have a deal where you can put that "rental" money towards a purchase?

Yeah, if they don't allow you to put that money towards a purchase, then that sucks.

It's like my ski hill=--they charge 12.00 a day for people to rent helmets. If you rent it three times, you could have bought yourself a decent helmet. Plus, that price isn't exactly encouraging safety...
