Help me out please

ok, this is a problem i have gotten lately. it's when i capture a video clip from my dv-cam to the computer. it has worked well before, but now when i start the usb streaming the quality becomes really crappy as the clip appears on my screen. i know it's not the camera because i tried to capture a video at a friends house and it worked perfectly.

any ideas what might have caused this problem? i'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the capturing settings and that kind of stuff. so... any ideas?

Not sure why, but I have to use the rear USB ports instead of the front ports when I capture or mine gets choppy and starts dropping frames.

yeah man, that's exactly what happens to me.. except for that it doesen't work in any of the usb ports. and in two ports it doesent even feel that the camera is there. it's strange and annoying because it used to work great before.

first off, whenever i try clicking on your name to put it in bold, it NEVER works. Its only your name that does it, weird lol

Anyways id try borowing a dif usb cable and see if your cable is messing up. Other than that i dont know what to tell you. Maybe try capturing it through a diffrent program? Good luck!

Like Carey K said... I would try the back USB ports. The back ports are directly wired to the USB Card or Motherboard, where as the front USB jacks have cables running up the front and I have found that these cables are not always the best in quality.

integrity640, your name works anyways haha.. i've tried like 3 different cables and 3 different capturing programs so non of that's the problem..

SkateForce, i don't have a fire wire port on my computer, which sucks cause i know it's way better.

SamHill, i have 7 different usb ports and i've tried them all and the same shizzle happens every time i try no matter what..
