DVS, where do they get their ideas?

Well I will tell you where. By now everyone and their cat have seen these dvs milans to be released in the spring...http://www.wakeskating.com/forum/files/shoe.jpg
shoe.jpg anyways it seems that dvs found their color combo design from none other then this Adidas shoe...http://www.wakeskating.com/forum/files/shoe_2.jpg
shoe 2.JPG It isnt a suprise at all tho, as these shoes were found at Keith Hufanagels shoe store in SF, www.hufsf.com . Keith is a huge sneaker head, and is known for his more athletic designed skateshoes so im sure he had some input into these milans. Anyway I just found this sorta funny so do with it what you will.

dude, all skate shoes look the same anyways. same old color schemes, same old stitching. It doesnt really matter that the milans look similar to the adidas(and how do you know the adidas had the color scheme first). btw i think the new byerlys look like accelerates so whatever.

I respect dvs, and i realise that alot of shoes are designed the same, but come on, they are like the same shoe hahah.

wakesk8r9610, reynolds 2s look a lot like the accel series. reynolds 3 look like some vans rowleys. some globes look like etnies etc. there are very few innovative designs in skate shoes. and the new shoes usually arent as popular.

what do you want them to innovate? shoes are shoes, not much can be done.

Greg T, exactly my point. shoes are going to start looking the same because every functional design has already been made. all companies do now is make slight variances on already existing shoes. this is kind of what payless does. take an adidas shoe, add a stripe and you got a brand new shoe to sell.

on another note, a lot is put into the development of a skate shoe. so innovation can take place in shoe making, just not nescesarily the aesthetics. the materials stitching, sole, and other components are made to withstand a great deal of abuse. look up the sti video from es to see what type of stuff they are doing to make skate shoes better.
