Where Winch?

This may be kind of a dumb question, but here it is:

The winches are looking better & better..........Grinch, Black Box, etc. So where would I be able to hit it? Obviously pools & fountains on private property would be a no-no; pretty blatant trespassing & potential damage to property, etc.

But there are lots of little creeks & streams all over town that are feeding local lakes, under power lines, by public parks, etc. that I would guess are city property. Athough they look perfect for winching, my friends all seem to agree that these spots could be risky as well, meaning someone could see us & call the cops, ending up with us getting a ticket & worse, having them confiscate the not-so-cheap winch.

So what does that leave? I'm sure there's little fingers off of the lake that we could hit, but if I'm gonna drive out there I might as well just launch my boat. So short of building a pool gap in my driveway ala brodeo, where can I winch? Anybody know anything about the laws regarding this sort of thing?

Not so worried about a ticket, more concerned with a cop impounding the winch. Had that happen with my mx bike once, and it was mega-$$$ and a huge pain in the a$$ to get it back.

cornut, There is no fVcking way they will impound your winch, Take it from someone who's gone to jail, You have to do alot to have them do that. If they tell you to leave just shut your mouth get in your car and drive away.

most cops have no idea wat to think about winching and just are ussually cool and tell u they dont think u can do that lol

Most people who stumble upon a session goin down are stoked to see it. If you are asked to leave do as Pirate said and just leave. Most times the people are so shocked at what they saw there like "You guys cant be here, That looks interesting, shouldnt that board have some sort of boots on it?"

the cops are going to play off of your vibe, you gotta show some respect, and youll get it back unless there dicks then just do what Pirate said just say sorry and leave, but in my personal expeience the cops will usually not care unless its causing damage or a local buisness is severely pissed about you being in the pond outside there offices, but most of the time you can wow the cops with the winch's cool factor

Grinch is the one that I know the best and has been severly tested and pushed. There are a few others that I'm not familiar with, but I know the Grinch is about $1800.

TTUFAN24 i doubt kento is profitt since kento has pirate winches it is most likely someone from distortion.
