I'm so stoked. when they first came out a few years ago i was thinking, "oh, its just another stupid sport people are going to be doing at ski resorts." i compaired it to bigfoot skis, or snow roller skate things. Now that I am a wakeskater i've completely changed my mind. I even rode a old skate deck in the snow before hella years ago, but it wasnt anything fun. these new bilevel decks are so sweet. I cant wait to see how it rides.

So far ive landed a few kickflips on capet and a vflip the first try. im going to try a 3 flip as soon as i get it on some snow this weekend. I dont want to break it on hard surfaces before i evern get to use it Laughing

Picked her up for half off, 96 bones out the door Very Happy

yeah I have last years Danny Kass snowskate, its so fun

I also have the Danny Kass snowboard with those graphics, and it is from the winter before last winter so I'm sure that is the year of your snowskate, so that makes it from the winter of 03/04 so its 04 model, have a good time with it

Wow, that's a really nice snowskate. I wanna buy one with two levels, as mine is just a flat deck and has like no pop at all...

Can you measuer the length of the bottem ski and the lenght of the top deck for me please?
I have a idea to make one but would like to know the length first. Thanks

EDIT: and the distance between the top and bottem deck. Thanks.

I dont even know what the best is. I like the bilevel idea though, ive tried old skate decks on show and it didnt work that well. Today I learned how to do front and back boards slides, even did a backboard bs 180 off, and almost landed a front board bs shuv out. it was a steep landing so it was kind of a challenge. damn I had hella fun though. Kickflips on snow are way different than carpet snowskating.. haha.. Birthday I did land a kickflip and vflip... but not while moving. the snow was all ice on the flat part. this is a perfect sport to do when you're not snowboarding. I bet a lot of people who live in the flat part of america have a ton of fun snowskating by making mini parks at their houses.

E-VILLWAKE, is that board by Burton that you're talking about called the Approach?

if so, I have one of those too and it carves like a bi level snowskate would but is way more stable on rails and boxes, pretty fun off mini kickers too, I definitely recommend one, and they are only 59 bucks.

You guys need to go to www.gnu.com. I'm riding the Gnu Toronto model and it rips down the mountain. I've even taken it over some small jumps and jibs... We've got two mountains (Snoqualmie and Steven's) which allow all-mountain riding. The scene in the PacNW is growing. I saw 5 other Gnu's on the mountain this weekend.

beaver - You'll get all your measurements at gnu.com...

The Premiers are for the backyard, one-hit tech riding. The Gnu's will take you all mountain with control.

I rode my burton all last year at the local hill hitting black dimonds and all that. They probobly ride alot like the GNU's except some gnus are real long. check out the video called Whats That at the bottom of the www.GNU.com homepage.

that video is awesome. i really want to snowskate now. it seems like those straps would make it hard to do shuvit and kickflips but i would hate to fall and have the board ride away while im at a resort.

dude those leashes could really mess some stuff up...like lets say ur sliding a rail, and the leash catches? and some of the dudes had bungee type leashes and the board went like slingshotting back at their legs. looks fun, minus the leashes
