so since the winter season here is so long i decided to do something to get ready for next summa. naturally a winch came to mind. so my dad and i put together some scrap metal. thus a monster was created (saw or red devil winches). it is still in progress(hitch, cart, paint). gimme ur thoughts....
to be continued....

now all you need is a hand brake, and paint it green! good job though. just weld the square tube to the bottom, and size it to the opening on the hitch. getting that tubing the right size should be the tricky part. hope the pictures you asked me to send you of my grinch(so you'r dad could SEEit and BUY you one) helped.

how much has it cost you to build? or did you just toss together whatever was rotting in the ol' garage?

I like the saw name, that thing looks legit. You're dirty. I like the rustic metallic look for color.

bigpimpinalberta, thats pretty sweet for 600. . .my advice is if your going to produce them. . .find a smaller engine MFG. than Honda and try to get a quantity discount. . .also you should be able to get what is called "Reciever Stock " from any steel yard and that is the stuff that is made for hitch recievers I would be careful about geting the rope hooked in the saw blades and you might want to look into putting a chain tensioner on as well, if you need rope let me know Ill set you up as I am now a dealer for the rope we use on the piratewinch
