Do any of you remember ee cummings, the poet? Do they still teach him in school? I went to Robert Frost Junior High, so maybe we got taught more poetry than at other schools, but I vividly remember the poems of ee cummings, not because of the prose and verse, but because he insisted upon speling his name in lower case letters. Also because he used only lower case letters and random punctuation and sentence breaks in the bodies of his poems. I didn’t really realize it until this morning, but most people who e mail now have that in common with him -- and virtually everybody who posts on wakeboarding websites, too. But seriously, I never post on here but i've been reading all these threads, just like it seems industry people read them from time to time. Tony Smith, an editor at Alliance, (who by the way has enough clout and is legit enough to make fun of this stream of threads) is making fun of the kid for speculating on the situation. If you guys havent looked back and realized that all these threads about who is going to what team and what happened or is happening with cassette etc, are just drama. Its like the kid in high school who did stupid things or made up rumors to try to run with the in crowd. Let it work itself out and get over it. No one wants to know if you have "insider information" because more times than not, it is NOT true or is extremely convoluted.


PS--i'd be impressed if 25% of you know who shannon best is

shannon best, avid wakeboarder at the beginning of the scene, hailed as a hero for making cable parks legit...learned all of his best tricks without a wake...recently (well, depends on what you call recent in this industry) made the switch to kite boarding and is now a full time pro riding for his own kite company, as far as i am aware.

I made a wakeskate back in the day by gripping the top of a chopped Best 127. . . I shaped some concave on it with Bondo painted it and rode it. . the sick thing was the best already had a pretty natural side to side concave already. . and it was a heavy but thin deck and the way they pressed it I was able to sand the rails a little it rode really well. . . . better than my gate hahahahahaha
