3x-2y=5 you graph this on an xy axis graph
i dont understand the purpose of this because like any number will work?
X Y
3 3
2 2 and graph those? or please explain.
i tried a search but i couldnt find anything so i turn to my homies. |

| let y = 0 and solve the equation. then let x = 0 and solve. plot these two points on the graph and then draw a line. |

ok so
3x-0=5
x =1.6?
2y-0=5
y= 2.5
so you graph
(1.6 ,0)
(0, 2.5) thats not right i dont think _________________ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 |

almost right..
3x-2y=5
3(0)-2y=5
0-2y=5
-2y=5
-2 -2
y=-2.5
x=0
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3x-2(0)=5
3x=5
3 3
x=1.6
y=0 |

You solve for Y, so you get y=3/2x - 5/2
the y-intercept (the point where it crosses the y-axis) is going to be (0, -5/2)
the next point is going to be 3 up and 2 to the right from your first point(3/2 = rise/run) if it's negative, it would have gone down and to the right, and then the next point will again be 3 more up and 2 last from the previous point... draw a line that connects those three points, and continue the line past both of those points a little ways and draw arrows on both sides of the line to show that the line is continuous and is infinitely long. |

i<3wksk8, well done... Anyone care to explain multi-variable calculus or engineering statics equations to me?
-I failed my tests in each of those classes. I really should be making As in both of them, but it looks like I'm going to have to work at it to earn a B. |

| No man, it's all good, I'm doing fine in my classes, just need to study a little bit more. We are doing like divergence and curl of vector field equations (triple integral stuff). Haven't really sat down and tried to figure it out, just kinda winged on the test, wasn't really a good choice. |
