so much hype about bi levels. i notice the top level has a unique shape that no other board has. has anyone tried to ride just the top level of the bi. its got a concave exactly like a skateboard. if you rode just the top level im guessing itd be just like riding a big skateboard on the water.

would you even be able to edge? the board isnt flat on the bottom like every other board is. i think it would just kinda roll over from toe edge to heel edge and not move anywhere.

It is too thin as is, it would snap like a cracker. If you added a few more plies you might have something. Although the concave of the rails is so big that you wouldn't have much of an edge.

Done it and its gay, board sits so low in the water and tracks horribly. And its really slow. You can ollie but like 6 inches high.

There was a Canadian company from Saskatchewan that made boards very similar to the top of a bi. The boards actually looked cool but didn't really ride all that great. I can't remember the name of the company or the owner's name.

yeah i tried it aswell, it has a cool shape but edging is brutal and when you come back down from an ollie or a shuv it stops and send you over the front.
