falling on rails

what is the best way to bail on a rail, seeing people like kovacich rack themselves doesnt look to appeasing, is it better to hold on to the rope, let go and ride it out, or just feel it out?

in my opinion holding on to the rope is the way to go...

if its a short rail... well pretty much any rail... you want to hang on to the rope and that way if you do fall you will most likely get pulled away from the rail...

and like they said, depends on the rail. but for the most part hang on....

Yeah, my back was hurting that day. I would say (from experience) hold onto the handle. This way you get pulled off of the rail.

let go and bail away from the rail if you have to avoid posts, otherwise hang on and try to clear the end of it.
