I was there about three years ago, and really liked it.. I've also been to Breck, Vail, Beaver Creek and Copper and thought Winter Park was probably the best mainly because it was a lot less crowded compared to the other resorts, I guess because it's so damn far from everywhere else.... _________________ ------------------------------------------------------

i've been going to winter park every mardi gras holiday since i was in 4th grade (7 years). would be going again, but mardi gras vacation is cancelled this year b/c we gotta make up the days we missed from the hurricane.
winter park is amazing. i know every trail there and i'm here to tell you they are all awesome. the park grows and gets better every year. definitley check out the back bowl. theres a longass flat road thats quite annoying that you have to take to get to one of the lifts that take you up to it, but its so worth it. plenty of trees to play around in and when it snows, you are likely to find some soft, untouched powder.
god i miss that place... _________________ R.I.P. Jim Taylor

I've only seen Winter Park. We've got a house up in Beaver Creek and I pass Winter Park on the drive up there. I've heard it's pretty sick, all the churches and schools have their trips their so it's probably a mountain that ranges in all terrain. _________________ www.dallaswakeboarding.com |

um, i lived in Colorado for 16 years of my life. Winter park is sick and everything. But by far the best mountain in is Steamboat. Bar none the best snowboarding you will have in your life. Steamboat is where its at. _________________ "On the moon, nerds get there pants pulled down and they are spanked with moon rocks." |

I've seen that for sure at Killington, VT. I think it's under the Canyon Quad chair. _________________ ------------------------------------------------------

last time i was in steamboat i got stuck in powder up to my shoulders, gotta get in with the locals, they will take you to some crazy spots off the peak. Awesome cliff drops and everything. _________________ "On the moon, nerds get there pants pulled down and they are spanked with moon rocks." |

the reason why the "panty tree" got started is because of mardi gras. those trees have been getting covered with random bras and panties for years......since my dad started going back in the '70s and prolly since before that........during mardi gras week. a lot of times people just do it now for the hell of it, but thats the origin of the "panty tree."
oh and, lhsxc22, the whole vasquez area is amazing. i did my first double black last year on the vasquez cirque. _________________ R.I.P. Jim Taylor

something else i just remembered: go to winterpark.com and buy your lift tickets now. you can save up to 50% on prices.
also, the best place to rent gear from is a place called POWDER TOOLS. really good stuff and cool people. _________________ R.I.P. Jim Taylor
