Just stop.
headhuntermx4, If all works out it'll definetly be a great exposure opportunity for the sport. I just hope it presents wakeskating in a layed back atmosphere, not one hundred percent competitive.
I havn't heard of the Dew Action Tour, does it stop up in Canada? Doubtful.. |

one-eyed sailor551, yeah that was kinda funny.
headhuntermx4, where does the tour go to?
i think i've come to the conclusion that next summer i'm gonna drive out to florida for a competition, maybe two. idk, i've only competed once on a skate, but that was two years ago when i only had a w2w and shuv, things have changed since then.
we'll see what happens. _________________ R.I.P. Jim Taylor

headhuntermx4, I heard some talk about this when the tour was here... Some sort of a winch setup. But i also heard they are talking about having wakeboarders too...
Its all still rumor right now so we will see... _________________ arson-wake.com |

Taylor, maybe u should come for the brodeo seems as how ur sporting it in ur avatar lol
were do u live?
if u all watch fuel its on there all the time lately and im sure u can find stuff on line about it. i know they had stops in sand diego and orlando but i forget the others. its basically an x games tour. i would think that they will do a set up liek the wakestock pool so they can do it at the tour stop locations. |

| i saw the dew tour thing on NBC yesterday on tv. wakeskating would get a lot of exposure. but i doubt they would show it for long, just like wakeboarding in the xgames |

wakemitch, You never know... wakeboarding is pretty gay to the average public, where as with wakeskating snowboarders, skateboarders etc can relate much more because they know the tricks and its much more interesting to watch when presented right on tv.
Think about how much hype it would get with a double pool gap with rails towed by a winch in a stadium. People that had no idea what it was would be so hyped on it.
Think about it like this... imagine a bmx dirt type of setup but for wakeskating... _________________ arson-wake.com

| SleuCrew, yeah true. i dont understand any of those crazy wakeboard trick names. and yes it is pretty gay, haha. i think wakeskating will go a lot father than wakeskating because it is easier to understand and it is more accessible to people that dont own a crazy expensive boat. if they have a winch in the comp, so many people will want to get into it |

woooo no way... a second wakeskate pro tour!!!!
oh wait, wasnt there a second pro tour? oh right the vans triple crown
whats going to make this tour different?
SleuCrew, what are you talking about? wakeskating is gay to the average public... Most people cant relate to all the shuv tricks.. thats why grubb is so popular because he can go w2w and that looks harder/cooler to a random person(not saying grubb sucks because he is a sick rider), they dont know how hard some of those lip tricks are etc. |

EvanPark, What i should of put was the "core public" my average public... you take most anybody who is into action sports and has noting to do with the wake industry and said one word to them their response would be..
Wakeboarding... Gay, bunch of kooks for the most part flippin around and stuff and its about as cool as professional rollerblading.
Wakeskating... most people respond that its legit but dont know too much about it. but its not wakeboarding so its pretty koo. then they usually ask what tricks are going down now a days and people trip when they find out about all the different things that have gone down in the past two years because they understand it... v-flips, fs flips, 360 flips etc.
I give the explanation daily to people and i always seem to get the same response.
EvanPark, ... You seriously need to step outside of the box with the Grubb perspective... yeah i can do a flip on a wakeboard and a chick might drop her panties, where i do a k-flip and she pays no mind. but thats not what im talking about. Wakeboarding is totally standardized with its own tricks and about hit its limit look at what has already happened to it.
look at wakeskating... Surfers, skateboarders, snowboarders understand it. it makes sense.
wakeboarding??? what does it directly relate to? Snowboarding?? thats a insult to snowboarding if you ask me.
Now take something like to dew tour and have no boat or ski involved what so ever and display it in a jam format like you would street skating in a similar fashion with a winch... now people are up and close to it they dont see wake tricks they see the heart of wakeskating... the same tricks going down that they saw a hour ago on the street skate course but now on the water. I would be great! the way a wakeskate tour should be done. Not this ride up and down crap that goes on at the pro tour with people not throwing anything of their potential because the format is based on how many falls you have.
im done with my book now...
BTW: You might be gay to the average public, but wakeskating is not.
thank you drive thru _________________ arson-wake.com |

| I think the whole dew tour is kinda dumb and makes all the sports involved look bad. Especially the fact that they are riding in front of a completely empty stadium. It looks terrible on TV. |

EvanPark, youre right about how grubb is overrated (not sayin hes bad, but hes not the best), but hes startin to lose his hype. i think in the future more skate style riders will be popular, like daniels or nick. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |

| daniels doesnt really have a skate skate style imo, nick does tho. but as for grubb, i dont care, the man will rip w2w apart and then go do kickflips outta rails! |

jboss, maybe in a few years grubb will be the most popular because he is the only one not doing only skate tricks. but then again i'm a pro rollerblader so what do i know? _________________ www.unicornofthesea.com |

SleuCrew, you being a owner of a ROC should know that this is the last thing our sport needs.
Go skate cause you love it not cause you want to be in a f#$ing mountain dew comercial with dave mirra |
