Chris41, I think its no big secret my opinons of the Rewind/centrifugal style of winch in general but I honestly agree with/have heard alot of the same stuff about the BB. . . plus biting someones steez is just ghey. .and also I am aware of basically what is in ALL of my competitors winches Wink

hoffmac, 4 weeks and 5 bucks says I can show you a better way. . .friction based clutches such as the centrifugal have a load limit that IMO isnt high enough to handle the load progressive urban wakeskating creates

hmm...well, again, if its designed right, the centrifugal will work perfectly..Helicopters use them,(like all the tv helicopters that fly around looking at traffic) and they use turbine engines which produce 1500 hp, and the clutch works fine in them. Its just all about design, and how much you want to put into it...

What other types of clutches would you use for a winch??

hoffmac, thats not really comparable to a go kart clutch thats liek sayign the motor in a slot car is like the electric motor in an electric hybrid whole different ball game. . .but I personally prefer a wet multiplate. . .but what Neveride is running is it really bitchin too

I don't know anything about winch design, but isn't it nutty that there's a blackbox that will be given away for free on another site?

I think it is.

Nick Taylor, Hypoxic films site has a contest to win a BB. You pick your favorite rider from any Hypoxic film and then the rider with the most votes selects the winner. Let's all vote for the same rider to improve our chances for someone from WS.com to win it.

The only two wakeskaters that I can think of that have been in any hypoxic movies are GD, Reed Hansen and perhaps Josh Smith, I haven't seen any of their movies thoough, so I'm not too sure. Anyone know of any other options for wakeskaters? We could start a new thread with a poll to see what everyone wants to do.
