|
|
So as mostof you have heard, a plane that took off from cali got into trouble.the front wheels turned 90 degrees and wouldnt retract. so for 3 hours theyve been circling and the plannme lands.miraculously the front gear doesnt collapse. so after using 95percent of the runway at lax it stops. after 4 seconds of being completely stops a fire truck shopws up. then another and some more. well 3 minutes later a firemen decides to get out of the truck. so 4 minutes into being stopped no one has done anything. the emergency slides on the planes havent opened getiing people off the plane, everyone is sitting there. so finally more firemen get out and a ladder truck is brought to the door(the first one was the wrong size) so after the ladder is good to go they wait anotther 30 seconds pickin there asses and finally decide to go up the stairway.
my point is they had 3 hours to plan what theyd do and they had a horrible plan. everyone seemed to be goin in slow motion. so 10 minutes after being on the ground they start takin people. off
i think id be more mad at the rescue efforts than the actual plane _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

Mr. Top Hat, ATXwakesk8r, -=AlexXx=-, integrity640,
guys when something like that happens you cant just let people off. you gotta make sure its safe and everything and in order to open the doors like that in a state of emergency such as what happened you must deactivite the doors by hand so the slides dont open as soon as the door opens and that takes a little bit of time. also people had to get there overhead stuff and along with that they needed to wait for the vehicle with the stiars on it to get over to the plane therefore causing the delay in getting off the plane _________________ You only live life once so live it to the fullest

ATXwakesk8r, no he probably has more knowledge about these types of things since it sounds like hes in the airline industry or emergency field. _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

| Wow, I almost never post, usually just lurk, but I have to comment on this one. Although I admit I haven't seen this on TV yet, I feel that from what you are describing, you are talking out of your a$$ on this one. Being a firefighter myself I can tell you that the last thing you do in a incident is run blindly into it before you can size up the situation and make a plan of what to do. From your description, the pilots did a good job of landing the disabled plane and there was no immediate danger to the passengers, like a fire or falling apart plane. So what would be the need to run in balls to the wall and "rescue" people that are not in danger? Ok, I will stop before I possibly dig myself into a hole, like I said I haven't seen this one on TV yet, but was only going on the previous description. I'm going to turn on the TV now and try to see it for myself. Sorry for my rant. |

danEMT, my bad, its just i was EXTREMELY suprised they didnt get the passengers off sooner. ive seen stuff like that on tv before and as soon as they land they pop the slides and get people away from the pane, beacuase im sure theres a million what-if's. yes i agree with you 100 percent about the balls to the wall(good song ) but in military emergency landings theyve got emergency vehicles at every intersection on the runway and the vehicles are on the scene within seconds. but they all kind of sat there dumbfounded(thats what it appeared to me) and werent in any rush, just taking there time.but i wasnt there so..... _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

gate-rider, i was making fun of alexxx's spelling.
danEMT, he is just talking out of his ass cause he has no idea how big of a situation something like that can actually be.
integrity640, it was a perfectly safe airplane when it landed so there was no need to rush in. alot of people get hurt on those slides so there was no need to deploy them and make a safe situation dangerous. |
