Halo 2 Modding

Has anybody seen these guys that mod on xbox live? or does anyone know how to do it? it is so crazy i would like to learn about it....

im halfway through red vs. blue, the first season right now. its a movie based on halo 2, real good and pretty funny

big_dee45, modders on x box live are gay, and kill the fun in halo 2. so don't mod, and no i don't know how to mod, u hafta do something though...i kno that.

frawley, lol i know, i jst finished the first "season" this morning. THey did an amazing job on doing it, but yah that took A LONG time. ive never played halo 1, so is it based on the first or second one?

big_dee45, you might trey and contact a mod or email xbox live. i dunno i only play at other peoples house.

headhuntermx4, lol i dont own an xbox unfortunatly,but all my friends have halo 2. once i get a job ill buy one.

i would not contact xbox live about modding your xbox cause i'm sure you'll get b!tched out and then hung up on.

i know a kid who modded his xbox. there's different types of mods you can do. it can be cool if you don't use it for cheating on live or anything. like you can download games of the internet and save them to your hard drive and play them whenever. but if it isn't done right it can ruin your xbox and you'll be screwed cause it won't be warrantied or anything. you would have to buy an all new one.

but theres sites on the intronet all about it, just look around.

just go on google and type in MOD chip, and check them out. but you have to take apart your box to install it

To get Halo 2 mods you either need a modchip or get a softmod installed. From there you have to setup an FTP from your computer to xbox, and then transfer all the map files to your comp. Then you get a program such as DotHalo or CH2r and edit all the values you want to change like running speeds, projectiles, jump height, etc... Then you have to resign the maps with a resigning program so that Halo thinks they are legit. Once you have all your maps edited the way you want you FTP them back to your xbox. I dont advise playing on Live with modded maps though, you're account will get banned from matchmaking within a few hours of signing on Live with modded maps, you'll still be able to play custom games though.

You can go to http://www.how2xbox.com and follow the instructions. That is for a soft mod. If you do a hard mod it will cost you money and you won't be able to play online.

By the way, Halo > Halo 2.

you can still play online with a hard mod. they have on/off switches.
