I am a fairly good wakeboarder but I wanted to try wakeskating simply because my wake is... well... small. I ride behind a 17 ft outboard so it kinda sucks for wakeboarding.

Back to my question. I searched and I read "that almost everyone rides about 41".". Is that true? I know in wakeboarding there's a whole range of sizes. I weigh about 150 and ride a 138 wakeboard. It will be my first time wakeskating but I want a board that I can progress on for a long time. Something fairly aggressive.

Any recomendations?

Well I'll say like 75-150. I'd prefer the lower end though.

ballywho, Id reccomend if you want to get into wakeskating cheap gvet some vans canvas slip ons and pick up a cassette/lf flat you should be able to get one for around 75-85 and that shouldnt limit you for a long time. .

Well I've got some old skate shoes and I cant stand slip-ons so I'm good there. Any opinions on whether flat decks canbe limiting? I've heard that they can but I dont know anything so...

its all in the mix, drew daniello is prob the only one i know tearing it up on a traditional flat such as the cassette style. if i were u look into getting a k39, right in ur price range and very good to progress on. a ton of riders have started on that and tore it up. also it comes with foam so u can try barefoot and then try and ollie and see that ull want shoes. than rip the foam off, get some clear polyurathane and spray the whole board(dont brush, a spray can works way better) to seal it up and prolong it. than buy grip tape form kampus or a couple of sheets from a skate shop and tear it up.
