Wakeskaters. Rednecks of the wake community?

i think you all need to realize that with out wakeboarding there really wouldn't be the same wakeskating there is today sure you can call us rednecks, im stoked o nthat actually , but u need to rember that wakeboarders arn't all jokes, my good friend arron rathy has offically gone as a pro wkaeboarder, but he also recently , just won three best trick comps for wakeskating the canadian nationals for sakting and used to be a sponsors skateboarder. If you wanna call wakeboarders jocks go ahead but i know some of them would probably show you up on a skate anyday.

p.s. I recently saw him stomp a frontboard to shuv over and aframe to frontboard, the gap was 12 feet. i should have some footage on here soon.

i would hate to be a redneck, cuz rednecks srew their sisters n $#!%, diiiiisgusting, wakeskaters are the braver guys (and girls) in the wakeworld because we are ready to ride in any circumstance, hit anything and take a bigger beating, have you ever seen a wakeboarder get nutted on a rail? i sure haven't.

n i also have friends who are wakeboarders, most of the E-VILL WAKE crew is wakeboarders, but they are good and sometimes ballsy. My buddy John was hitting our step up gap on his toeside the other day n has barely ever hit rails.

n Luke, this is his 1st year wakeboarding, (he has the potential to be a sponsored snowboarder) hes never hit big rails n then came n did a back board (gap) back lip on the step up first try he even did that on the a frame first try.

luckily i dont have a sister. Cool

E-VILLWAKE, I am going to have to disagree that wakeskaters take more of a beating. go to wakeboarder.com and do a search for injuries, you will see what I am talking about. A lot of wakeboarders will switch to wakeskating as they get older cause it is a lot easier on their bodies.

kento911, yea true but also wakeboarder's knees get pounded pretty consistently. Wakeboarders are almost guaranteed to have a major injury if they stick with it for very long.

i just cant agree with this post and associate wakeskating with rednecks. first off...rednecks have been around since the dawn of the US and are pretty much associated as being lazy people who sit on their porches killing flies and watching the rust grow on their collection of antique run down cars in their front lawn!

wakeskating...too new to be assocaited with rednecks. and if you use the argument that we ride on and over anything we can throw together out of our garrages...i call that Ingenuity or CREATIVENESS!!! associate us with mgyver! i'd even settle for the A-TEAM...cuz i know "i love it when our plans come together!". and as far as lazyness goes! i dont know a lazy wakeskater...do you???

AND...the MOST important argument i have for NOT being assocaited with rednecks is the fact that a redneck WOULD NEVER (eva eva eva eva) buy a 300 dollar piece of plastic with RYAN LEMONS painted on the bottom! Smash

As you get older my ass easier...those damn things pop back up like a surfboard only to rip your skin off, tweak two fingers, clip an elbow, all before the edge slices your nutsack in two, comes up lacerates your face. but seriously i dont get why rednecks have such a bad rep to most of u. there is white trash and then there are rednecks.

white trash eff their sisters
rednecks make their sisters get em food

white trash drive rusted up crown vics
rednecks drive built 4x4's

white trash people have no intelagaince
rednecks have selective intelagiance
god for my sake i hope i spelled that right lol

im not a full redneck nor do i strive to be but i am proud to be in the south and thoroughly(spl?) enjoy a nightt at the mud bogs. i am also proud to fly my lil confedarate flag on my windshield and drive a 4x4.
but as far as comparing wakeskators to rednecks is a lil off but i get the point. skateboarders do the same thing. i remember building ramps outta closet doors and such. with wakeskating we have mor eof a broder horizon to thrash...
