first off.. not tryin to start shizzle or whatever...
wakeskating top five!_____
why wasnt like ryan lemons or nick taylor on that? im not just sayin this cuz i ride integrity but if u think about it nick has a 3 flip alone... and shares a hardflip with ryan... ryan has boardslide to 90 kickflip out.. they are super good in my view!!
just wanted to see who agreed or whatever

Cause most of the idiots that voted were wakeboarder jarheads who havent even heard of Lemons or Taylor.

Anyways, I don't think Nick Taylor or Ryan Lemons need to be on a top five list for people to recognize and respect them as individuals in our sport, even if the recognition might be nice.

First off, most every person on this board is aware that both the riders noted above are very talented wakeskaters, they don't need wakeworld (I don't go over there but I think it's pretty strap-oriented) to tell us that.

I guess what i'm trying to say is...what I just said. My pie is ready...

tahoe integ, IF your looking for the top 5 wakeskaters in thr world in a "readrs poll" nick and ryan wont be there, And honestly guys like byerly, grubb, Thmas and other O.G riders should be. Im against hyperlite 100000% percent but grubb and byerly have deff.... paid there dews and deserve to be where they are.

If you ask ryan who the best wakeskater in the world is i would bet you a bajillion dallars he'll tell you grubb. Now you may laugh and say "oh yeah grubs really good Rolling Eyes

" but untill youve seen that guy ride in real life (and im talking freeride not only comps) then you really have no clue.

When it comes down to it nick and ryan dont deserve to be on there right now. Not saying they wont some day but as it stands right now they dont, And I think are sport could really go with out all this "whos the best" crap. I Know for a fact that Thomas isn't even close to the best trick wise/comp wise or anything but if you cant get stoked to ride when you see all of his steezeiness then check your pulse cause your probably dead. Cool

I think PIRATE is right if you look at some of the guys that won the w3akeworld wakeskate riders poll youll notice that its all the guys that have been with skating since the start, and I mean look at the shizz grubb's throwing down in some of his older video parts. I also was able to judge him at wakestokc this year and he rides an 85' line. Also look at his contest results , sure he may not have the best flip tricks but hes consistant as chickity china the chinese chicken thats why you always see his name on or near the podium in every contest he compeats in.

So I dont know, nick and ryan are sick but they are the newer age of wakeskating that will be taking off soon, but for know your going to see most of the pioneers bringing in the votes.

I dont know if that makes sense to you all but enjoy! Wink

Not to mention 99% of the Wakeworld crowd are not as informed, passionate and/or excited about wakesports as the people who post here. Most people posting on Wakeworld are buying their board shorts at Old Navy. Smash

They know the big names and the big names only. There's nothing wrong with that, they put money into the industry.

i'm pretty sure neither taylor nor lemons wre even an option. soooo i dont think that helped them out in getting the votes.

I think Lemmons was on the list, but it was made up a while ago. A lot of the up and coming wakeskaters just weren't on it yet.

and the 360 wasnt even landed when that list was made

and I was looking back at some old alliance issues, and just looking back at what grubb was doing on that freaking banana board (and his line length--he seriously has his boat and rope set up like a wakeboarder--no gimmes). He's worthy...

PIRATE, jono, electricsnow, . . .Im right there with you I respect the chickity china the chinese chicken out of Ryan, Nick, and Reed's (if you dont know who that is you will soon) riding but if your going to put together a list of the top riders then you have to consider all facets. Look at how many "innovations" Byerly, Grubb, T. Ho and A. Reed and D Hamp account for I personally dont even think GD needs to be on that list yet not thats he's not just as good if not better, but you gotta stick around and test your mettle before you get to be associated with those names. . . .and Brandon and Esnow are right ont he money about Grubbs setup he rides with a meaner setup than MOST strappers and hes still on point withthe consistancy but I think if in 5 years some of the up and comers we have had the pleasure of watching arent on that list. . . . . shizzle needs to be handled
