I just got my new Reef Byerly shoes and it is amazing. Up until now i'v been skating old skate shoes with holes drilled in the bottom. But my new shoes are unreal they feel like wearing shoes on land, even when there wet. My first set with them i landed all my tricks first try, almost landed a three shuv and a kick flip. I am so stoked. Any one thinking of getting a pair should. Their well worth the money.

I wore my American Eagle shoes I got for 10 bucks yesterday. Felt alot more comforable then any DVs or reef shoe I've worn. And they dry faster.

i have the byerlys. they are good shoes. the only thing i have to compare them to are some soggy 2 sizes too small nikes

i ride vans that my friend got from ross. they own the byerlys.

EvanPark, 3 shuvs arent that hard and kickflips arent to hard to rotate once you get the fear out of your head. sometimes little things make a difference, such as shoes, fins, board length, etc.

i just started this summer and i can 3 shuv (when im not in a shlt streak like i am now) and i dont ride too often. i believe him 100%

Evan Park. Last year i was not a complete beginer, it was my first contest and i rode so bad it was embaresing."From what you have seen" you havent seen me ride in over a year so why don't just chill out. bert, good to hear you like the reefs, but watch out for them and only wear them when riding... I busted 2 pairs in a season.

Right now those that hold up the best for me are the DVS dresdens, but many people here found them to be rather weak...

For me DVS>rest for wakeskating, and DC for skating... I need to check if DC makes mesh shoes.... Very Happy

Oh and yes, shoes do make a difference when riding...

I know dc used to make mesh shoes...I think in the "alias" model (if not others). I'm not sure what the status are on those anymore, as in if they're still available in a mesh model or not.

bert, yeah man, i have a pair of the black Reef Byerlys too and they are amazing. i rode yesterday with an old pair of Vans because my Reefs were still in Tennessee and they were sooooo heavy. it took me like 4 tries to hit a ollie bs 180 b/c of all the extra swing weight. but whatever, im going riding in 3 hours once school gets out and i can't wait to use my Byerlys again.

bert, In my opinion, the Reef Byerlys are way better than the DVS shoes. They offer GREAT support and are more solid. And, like jboss said, "sometimes little things make a difference".

EvanPark, who gives a shizzle if he is or not? why spend time worrying about it when it all comes down to it, it's not going to matter two shizzle's to you.
